I CAN'T AIM FOR SH#T
So I've been playing video games for some time now like any other teenage boy has. My first game was a racing game that I can't mention because otherwise I might get flagged for copyright. This was back in 2003 so I was like 7. But back then games were suppose to be individual fun where the only threat to you winning was your game console's memory card corrupting your hard work of progression.
Then I got my hands on a FPS game, my first multiplayer game and this is where gaming experience took a head first dive to the ground. LAG, children yelling in mics, grown men typing/saying immature insults, did I mention LAG. And all of a sudden gameplay variety was gone, cause everyone was using the most overpowered guns/heroes. I think its called the META nowadays. META ruins any variety in games; it makes half of the content non-existent and makes a full priced triple A game feels like a 5 euro DEMO. Luckily (or unluckily depending on how you perceive things), I barely had time for games cause I was studying for exams at this point. WHY? I don't know. Maybe I followed my parents ideas too narrowly and on the same time forgot that socializing with girls was a thing normal boys did.
I did come back to games... ...when I finished high school. At this point my game console belonged to a museum and new console had to this stupid pay for online garbage. So I turned to the so called PC MASTER RACE. Only problem was that this was my first time using a computer for real gaming. I had no experience with using a mouse to aim (it felt like trying to write with your feet for crying out loud), I didn't know what mods/admins/gamer stuff basically where. When I heard PING for the first time I thought it was some kind of XP meter. It actually turned out to be the complete opposite. I did have good communication skills thanks to my English classes. Unlike console that were filled with brats telling me how they slept with my mother, PC had people for the most part that wanted to communicate as a team. I ended playing MOBAs hero based team games because of this. But then I met a new breed of annoying; TOXIC TRYHARDS. Sure these were in FPS games way before but in a team game they can straight up suck all the team spirit your team had and cause hate speech territory for usually half an hour. And for them its not enough to ruin the atmosphere for the team but they have the audacity to do this:
/all My team sucks/feeds/filled with noobs/"insert something negative here"
Apparently everyone has to know what these toxic players have to say but unfortunately for them nobody gives a damn. And the worst part of this is that I can't do anything about this. Cause I don't have any mechanical skill. Normally If you have been playing a game or its genre for a long time you learn how to master the game(like sports). Then you can do this thing called CARRYING, which means that your raw mechanical skills like aim, game knowledge, etc can help your team win even though you have these toxic peoples in your team. Meanwhile, I am stuck playing classes like Support or Healer cause I didn't even know what creeps or hit scan were before I turned to the MASTER RACE. I can't even try to learn now cause I have those parents who are strict with video games because they might give you a diseases that I'm not aware of. Before you guys tell "Oh your just a loser still living with your parents." I advise you to take a minute or two and look at the title of this blog.
Thus I don't play games to be competitive anymore though I am competitive by nature. Maybe just for fun or if I have time. My studies gave me enough knowledge for me to understand that gaming is not my passion but improving on something is. So I will not rest until I find some skill worth developing.
(SPECIAL NOTICE: This is not a gaming blog so don't expect more of this kind of content, there are better sources for that across the net. But if you mange to relate/laugh/flag me then good for you.)
